Week 3 Thing 7

This week I signed up with facebook. I set up my profile and invited people to be my friends. This all was due to my 20th class reunion and how numerous people placed photos up on this site. I am still learning to use it and am navigating the basics at this point. It is amazing how so many people I went to school with can keep in touch no matter the distance between us.

Week 3 Thing 6

I tried a mashup with the Cat in the Hat photo I put on Flickr. I added the title and subtitle along with a fire background to make this really cool trading card. This card idea is great for teachers to use as assignments for students. I can see trading cards being made based on an endangered species list. A 3rd party site that i was introduced to was bighugelabs.com. They have an area where you can make badges, cations, billboards, cd dovers, and beadart. Sounds like fun.

Week 3 Thing 5

Today I explored Flickr. Because I love to garden, I went straight for pictures of flowers. I found a beautiful image in the calendar area. The link is www.flickr.com/photos/digitalgopher/3389419171
I also added an image of a Cat in the Hat cut out I made for RIF last school year. I now have an account with flickr.

Week 1 Thing 1

I read this blog and decided that I am willing to try to learn as much as possible about new technology trends. The journey may be a little confusing but I am sure I will no doubt learn many new and exciting things.

week 2, thing 4

I already registerd online for workshop #20790, and also sent an email to esc1library @gmail.com with all the required information.
I like the idea of having a book discussion blog.

Thing 3 week2

I had fun creating my avatar. Choices is how I want to look or express to others how I feel I look are spectacular. I was able to use my imagination and many selections to create a new and improved me. FUN! This type of creation is a great tool for young students to learn and it also helps protects ones true identity. Need to keep our students safe at all times. The creation of my blog was fun and the directions were very easy. I did run into a bit of trouble when posting my avatar to the blog. It finally worked but I'm not sure exactly which step was the right one. I bookmarked my blog for easy access and am having fun and success thus far.

Week 1 Thing 2

I just got done with the 71/2 habits of a life long learner. I love 7 1/2, Play , be curious and read. The section on how to put it in writing(Contrct)is something I agree with. Having a format or outline is very important in any thing you do in life.
