I learned that RSS Really Simple Syndication keeps my information organized and is tailored to my needs. I was able to mark items as read on Google Reader. I used the video tutorial to help me set up my account and add newsfeeds. I selected to add Reader's Club new review feeds . I can see this useful in the upper grades for students doing research. They can locate information and sources and keep them in this account to work off of as they sift through data. They can share info with the Teacher and other kids in groups if it is a group project. As a teacher of younger kids, I could set up all the newsfeeds in advance and allow students to research from my blog choices only.
